Social standards of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih are some of the highest among Ukrainian mining and steelmaking companies.

The Company provides social support to all its employees as provided for by the Company’s Collective agreement.

The Collective agreement contains company’s obligations in the area of Health and Safety, work organization and remuneration of employees, education and social security of the personnel. The Collective agreement also determines the main areas of social guarantees and benefits for the staff: paid vacations, periods of temporary disability, health insurance, treatment and recreation in the company's health centers and health resorts in Ukraine, material payments and benefits for both employees and veterans of the company.

In 2021, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has invested UAH 718.8 million into personnel social development. Company’s employees have better conditions for health improvement, recreation, and medical care. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has the biggest social infrastructure among all the companies of Ukrainian mining and steelmaking industry.

Social benefits and payments for employees:

PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih provides its employees and their family members with an opportunity of high-quality recreation and health improvement. In total, in summer of 2021, the recreation facilities and children's camps of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih welcomed 21441 people.

Over 3.3 thousand children of the employees had a rest in children’s health camps. Vouchers to out-of-town recreation centers were in the highest demand, with more than 18.1 thousand people vacationing there. These were Company’s employees, their relatives and guests. The company also provided healthcare for 2041 of its employees and their families in boarding houses and recreation centers in Ukraine. Travel-vouchers are sold to employees at a reduced price.

Social infrastructure of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih includes three children's health camps, two boarding houses on the Black and Azov Seas, three suburban recreation centers, “Dzherelo” health care center, a medical center, and the Palace of Culture of Metallurgists.

Recreation facility “Chervoni vitryla”, children’s health camp “Parus”

The recreation facility is located in Skadovsk district of Kherson region, in Lazurne town. The facility consists of boarding house with 592 beds and children’s health camp with 570 beds. The area of the recreation facility is 22.5 hectares. The recreation facility has a sports facility, a video room, a variety club, a creativity center, a library and a computer class.

Recreation facility “Azov”, children’s health camp “Burevisnyk”

The recreation facility is located in Genichesk district of Kherson region, in Shchaslyvtseve village. The facility consists of the boarding house with 392 beds and children’s health camp with 522 beds. The area of the recreation facility is 24 hectares. The recreation facility has a sports facility, a video room, a creativity center, a dancing floor, a summer variety stage, a library and a computer class.

Children’s health camp “Suchasnyk”

Located on the Black Sea coast in Skadovsk district of Kherson region, in Krasne village. The facility is designed for 360 people. The area is 9.4229 hectares. There are 5 dormitory buildings, 2 administrative and amenity buildings, a cultural center, summer cottage No.1 and No.2, medical facility, 2 canteens, a guard house, 2 garden cottages.

The infrastructure of the complex is morally and physically outdated and requires investment for infrastructure development and efficient use of land.

Recreation and healthcare center “Dzherelo”

Recreation and healthcare center Dzherelo of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is of therapeutic specialization and consists of two treatment sections – balneological and physiotherapy, with a total of 275 beds. Six-storied dormitory building has rooms, a canteen, a sports facility and a treatment facility.

The recreation center’s balneological section has rooms for hydromassage, therapeutic showers, thermal treatments, and a mud room for treating diseases of the respiratory system, digestive system, musculoskeletal system, and neurological system. As of 2020 due to COVID 19, the functionality of the recreation and healthcare center Dzherelo of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih was changed. A municipal observation department was organized on its basis.

Recreation facilities

“Maryanivka” recreation center is located in Kryvyi Rih district, in Maryanivka village. It includes 224 houses with 1618 beds. Total area of the facility is 13.57 hectares. A sports facility, a dancing floor, a riverbank beach are located on the territory.

The recreation center "Khvylya" is located in Kryvyi Rih district, Maryanivka village. It covers an area of 1.8 hectares, has 11 houses for 119 people.

Svitanok recreation center is located in Kryvyi Rih district, Kudashevo village. The total area of the facility is 2.1 hectares, it has 49 houses for 180 people and a one-story brick kitchen building.

25 modular houses were purchased for the recreation facilities, a pier was renovated, recreation kits (playgrounds, swings, tables, benches) were purchased.

Palace of Culture of Metallurgists

For many years, the Palace of Culture of Metallurgists of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has been a leisure center for the company's employees, their families and residents of Kryvyi Rih. The Palace of Culture of Metallurgists has a 410-seat auditorium, small and ballet halls, and rooms for creative teams. It is equipped with modern lighting and audio equipment.

Medical center

The metallurgical production polyclinic is located in Kryvyi Rih, Metalurgiynyi district, 5a Kryvorizhstal Street.

The building has 4 floors and a ground floor, which includes office space and an archive; it has a passenger and service elevator. Offices that require a constant temperature regime are equipped with split systems.

The polyclinic has equipment for periodic medical examinations of the workforce operating in harmful and hazardous working conditions (X-ray, mammoscan, clinical laboratory, offices of specialized doctors: surgeon, gynecologist, neurologist, otolaryngologist, ophthalmologist, dermatologist, psychiatrist, electrocardiologist; anthropometric testing).

Polyclinic of the Mining Department: Inguletskyi district, 86, Zbahachuvalna str.

The building has 4 floors and a passenger elevator. Rooms that require a constant temperature regime are equipped with split systems.

The polyclinic has equipment for periodic medical examinations of the workforce operating in harmful and hazardous working conditions; admission of patients for outpatient and day hospital treatment (X-ray, clinical laboratory, offices of specialized doctors: surgeon, gynecologist, neurologist, otolaryngologist, ophthalmologist, dermatologist, dentist; ultrasound diagnostics, electrodiography, electrocardiography.

The company has 19 paramedic stations. Six of them are intended for pre-trip examinations of drivers and railroad workers, while the rest are for treatment.
