Creating safe working conditions for all employees, whether they are plant employees or contractors, is priority No. 1 for PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, as well as for entire ArcelorMittal Company. We make sure that the production site of one of the largest metallurgical plants in Ukraine is also one of the safest. Our main goals are to achieve zero accidents at work and reduce the risk of occupational diseases.
Health and Safety Policy PJSC «ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih» - is a statement publicly proclaimed by the plant top management and reflects its views on personnel H&S at the plant workplaces.
Occupational H&S guideline of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih gives a general overview and introduces us to the principles and rules by which occupational safety management system operates at the plant, which is one of the subsystems of the general management system of the plant.
Basic principles of Occupational Safety and Health Policy:
- We are committed to prevent injuries and occupational diseases;
- Each of us cares about personal safety and the safety of others;
- We maintain continuous control over the occupational health and safety management system and monitor the achievement of our goals;
- We extend our obligations in the field of occupational safety not only to our employees, but also to the personnel of contractors.
Certification according to ISO 45001
Occupational Safety Management system of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih meets the requirements of international standard ISO 45001:2018.
This standard is an effective tool for managing risks in production activities and reducing their likelihood, as it is based on a systematic approach that allows preventing possible emergencies.
Corporate standards
PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih pays great attention to the risks in the field of occupational safety, the responsibility for which is borne by each employee of the plant. To reduce main risks in the field of occupational safety, the company has developed 11 standards operating at the corporate level - ArcelorMittal Fatality Prevention Standards. All employees of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih are trained in the requirements of these standards.
