Reintegration of veterans and support for the families of fallen colleagues
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has implemented a comprehensive veteran reintegration program, which continues to evolve and expand. A dedicated coordination center operates within the Single Window Service Center, ensuring full support for defenders returning to civilian life and resuming employment. Center coordinators provide consultation, help veterans navigate available services, and connect them with specialized experts.
Services for Veterans and Their Families
The program includes:
- Legal consultations
- Information about company and state benefits
- Health monitoring of demobilized employees
When necessary, veterans are referred to medical institutions for treatment or rehabilitation.
To ensure a smooth return to work, the company has introduced a step‑by‑step roadmap, “Pathway Back to the Work Family,” which outlines all stages of adaptation after demobilization.
Collaboration and Social Guarantees
The company cooperates closely with the municipal center “I Am a Veteran.”
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih also works with the State Employment Service to receive compensation for workplace adaptations for employees with disabilities. Within this project, an adapted workplace has already been created for a veteran with Group II disability.

Digital Services for Veterans
For quick communication, veterans can use the AMKR Telegram chatbot, which includes a dedicated “Veteran” section featuring:
- Up-to-date information
- Instructions and guidelines
- Answers to frequently asked questions
- Useful services
Additionally, the “ArcelorMittal Veteran” Telegram channel publishes news, announcements, benefit updates, training opportunities, vacation options, and information about medical services.
Medical Programs and Rehabilitation
All veterans are entitled to a free comprehensive medical check-up at the AMKR Medical Center, including:
- Specialist consultations
- Fluorography and X-ray diagnostics
- Laboratory tests
- Physiotherapy
- Massage therapy
A special medical insurance program for veterans provides coverage for:
- Outpatient, clinic, and inpatient treatment
- Rehabilitation
- Sanatorium and health resort treatment
- Dental care
- Psychological support
A dedicated medical coordinator at the Metallurgical Polyclinic assists veterans throughout their treatment and rehabilitation journey.

Social Support
Veterans receive a 10% discount on meals in all company dining facilities.
The company also organizes leisure opportunities for veterans and their families — during the summer season they can enjoy free access to the AMKR countryside recreation facility.

Leadership Training and Mentorship Programs
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih continues to enhance managerial competencies through specialized training focused on effective communication and interaction with veterans.
New mentoring initiatives have been introduced to strengthen managers’ ability to support employees returning from military service.
A dedicated module, “Communicating with Veterans,” has been added to the mandatory training programs “Safety for Newcomers” and “Take Care.”
