ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih among the leaders of the “Veteran Economy”

The company is among the leaders of the “TOP 50 Employers for Veterans” ranking compiled as part of Delo.ua’s “Veteran Economy” special project. Our company ranked 7th. The list includes companies that systematically create opportunities for defenders to return to civilian life and employment.

According to the study, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih achieved one of the strongest results: as of 1 January 2026, the company employed 356 veterans covered by a dedicated adaptation and support programme.

Our company’s high ranking was secured not only by quantitative indicators, but also by a comprehensive veteran support system. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih runs a reintegration programme, while a coordination centre operates at the Single Window centre, where specialists support veterans at every stage — from the initial request through to receipt of the necessary assistance. Adaptation to civilian life is supported by the “Path Back to the Working Family” roadmap. The company also cooperates with the Kryvyi Rih municipal centre “I Am a Veteran” and provides information support through internal resources and specialised communication channels.

An important element of engagement with veterans is care for their health: each of them has an opportunity to undergo a medical examination free of charge and receive treatment, rehabilitation, psychological and dental care. Particular emphasis is placed on training and retraining, enabling them to build a new career within our company. In addition, managers undergo dedicated training and participate in mentoring programmes that help them work effectively with teams that include veterans.

Every company that invests in veteran employment makes a significant contribution to the country’s recovery. At the same time, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s presence among the leaders confirms that systematic support for veterans has been introduced at the company and that the “people first” principle is not a declaration, but a genuine everyday practice.
