Investments and Projects
In accordance with the Collective Agreement of the company, funds in the amount of 0.6% of the amount of products sold for the previous year are allocated for H&S, prevention of occupational injuries and occupational diseases.
In 2021, PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the largest mining and metallurgical ompany in Ukraine, invested UAH 406.27 million in H&S industrial safety measures (in 2020 - UAH 380.68 million, in 2019 - UAH 503.37 million).
The cost per employee amounted to more than UAH 21.7 thousand.
Main expenditures of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih for the implementation of key H&S measures amounted to
- UAH 114.1 million - to provide employees with special clothing and footwear, PPE.
- UAH 17.75 million - to ensure the drinking regime (provision of bottled drinking water and vitaminized drink in the shops of the company free of charge);
- UAH 255.2 thousand - to provide employees with tea and sugar at low air temperatures;
- UAH 15.94 million - to provide free special food and milk for employees engaged in work with particlularly harmful working conditions;
- UAH 3.024 million - to provide workers with detergents that neutralize the effect on the body and skin of harmful substances;
- UAH 2.28 million - for mandatory preliminary, periodic and unscheduled medical examinations of employees.
- In 2021, PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih invested more than UAH 152.8 million in the implementation of technical measures aimed at improving working conditions, preventing occupational injuries, occupational diseases of employees, as well as improving H&S level.
